Recovered Landscapes: Reclamation of the South Yorkshire Coalfields.

 

This is an ongoing project begun in 2015. The decline of the coal industry in South Yorkshire has left the landscape scarred and bruised. This set of photographs aims to show how the recovery process is progressing. Alternative usage of the land (housing, manufacturing, leisure, ecological), often creates its own aesthetic by neccessity.
